Statute: Nova Scotia Hospital Act Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated March 6, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 313 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Nova Scotia Hospital Act, and

Section 6 of

Chapter 15 of the Acts of 1995-96, the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Act, is pleased, effective January 1, 2001, to: (

a) revoke the appointments of the following persons as members of the Board of Management of the Nova Scotia Hospital, which appointments were made pursuant to Orders in Council 1999-72 dated March 3, 1999; 1999-207 dated May 5, 1999; 2000-34 dated February 2, 2000, and 2000-102 dated March 8, 2000: Emmett Austin of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Dina Kalogerpoulos of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Dorothy Malcolm of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; Anne M. Cogdon of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Mary Jane Andrews of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Dr.

Eugene Nurse of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Dr. John Ruedy of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Lucy M. Reid of Westmount, Pictou County; James M. Murphy of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Alf F. Nielsen of Lake Echo, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Dr. Harvey Silverstein of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

b) revoke the appointment of Emmett Austin as Chair of the Board of Management of the Nova Scotia Hospital, which appointment was made pursuant to Order in Council 1999-72 dated March 3, 1999; and (

c) revoke the appointment of Charles Keating as a member and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, which appointment was made pursuant to Order in Council 1998-72 dated February 3, 1998.
