CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Trust and Loan Companies Licensing Act. 629 [Assented to April 2 4, 19 79.] H ER Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as The Trust and loan Companies licensing Amendment Act, 1979. 2.

Section of The Trust and loan Companies Licensing Act is amended: (

a) by striking out "and" in clause (

a) and substituting "or"; and (

b) by repealing clause (

b) and substituting the following: "'(b) 'loan company' means a corporation that: (

i) carries on the business of lending money; (ii) deals in or purchases: (

A) mortgages on land; (

B) chattel mortgages; (

C) agreements for the sale of goods or chattels upon deferred payments; (

D) accounts receivable; or (£) securities of any kind taken or given for the purpose of securing the performance of agreements for the sale and purchase of goods or chattels upon deferred pay ments; but does not include a trust company".
