the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule B

The area known as Sandy Cove located on the Great

Northern

Peninsula

of insular Newfoundland

is established as an ecological reserve primarily to protect a globally significant population of the endangered plant species, Long's Braya ( Braya longii

). Scientific research at the site will be encouraged and educational use and commercial and non-commercial use may be permitted where it does not conflict with the general objective of site protection and scientific research.

To ensure the survival of rare plants that occur in the reserve, some habitat restoration may be undertaken.

The managing agency for the reserve is Parks and Natural Areas Division of the Department of Environment and Conservation.
