ANNEXE SEMAINE DES ÉCOLES CATHOLIQUES

WHEREAS Catholic schools operated in Manitoba for decades before Manitoba became a province in 1870; AND

WHEREAS there are currently 19 Catholic schools in Manitoba that provide education to over 5,500 kindergarten to grade 12 students in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, the Archdiocese of Saint Boniface and the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg; Attendu : que des écoles catholiques y étaient déjà établies depuis des décennies quand le Manitoba est devenu une province en 1870; 1

AND

WHEREAS Catholic schools in Manitoba provide a safe and inclusive learning and working environment for students, staff and administrators in which all are treated with dignity and respect in the context of a caring Christian community; AND

WHEREAS Catholic schools assist every child in reaching their full social, academic, emotional and spiritual potential and foster the development of leadership, character formation and a commitment to serving others; AND

WHEREAS Catholic schools are committed to academic excellence; AND
