B.C. Reg. 313/2006, deposited December 4, 2006, pursuant to the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [Section 37]. Order in Council 868/2006, approved and ordered December 1, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective January 1, 2007, the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 19 of the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended by adding the following

definitions:

"child support" has the same meaning as "child support" in

section 93.3 (1) of the

Family Relations Act ;

"child support service" means a child support service established under

section 93.3 (2) of the

Family Relations Act ; .

Section 24 is amended

(

a) in paragraph (b), by adding the following subparagraphs:

(iv) the minister may provide to the child support service any information necessary for the purpose of recalculating child support under a maintenance agreement or a maintenance order that is assigned to the minister, and

(

v) the child support service may provide to the minister any information regarding the recalculation of child support under a maintenance agreement or maintenance order that is assigned to the minister;

, and

(

b) by adding the following paragraph:

(c.1) agreement by the assignor to cooperate with the minister and the child support service as necessary for the purpose of recalculating child support; .
