On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the Cannabis Control Regulation, B.C. Reg. 204/2018, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 1, and

(

b) the Cannabis Licensing Regulation, B.C. Reg. 202/2018, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1

Section 9 of the Cannabis Control Regulation, B.C. Reg. 204/2018, is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1), and

(

b) by repealing subsection (3) and substituting the following:

(3) For the purposes of

section 52 (1) (

a) of the Act and paragraph (

b) of the definition of "maximum allowable amount of cannabis" in

section 54 (1) of the Act, a quantity referred to in column 2 of

Schedule 3 to the Cannabis Act (Canada) in respect of a class of cannabis referred to in column 1 of that

Schedule is deemed to be equivalent to 1 g of dried cannabis.

Section 34.1 is amended in the definition of "class" by striking out " set out in column 1 of the table to

section 9 (3) " and substituting " set out in column 1 of

Schedule 3 to the Cannabis Act (Canada) ".

Appendix 2

Section 2 of the Cannabis Licensing Regulation, B.C. Reg. 202/2018, is amended by striking out " in accordance with the table to

section 9 (3) of the Cannabis Control Regulation " and substituting " in accordance with the rule that a quantity referred to in column 2 of

Schedule 3 to the Cannabis Act (Canada) in respect of a class of cannabis referred to in column 1 of that

Schedule is deemed to be equivalent to 1 g of dried cannabis ".
