Under the authority of sections 3, 5 and 12 of the Municipalities Act, 1999

the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

This Order may be cited as the Town of George's Brook-Milton Order

Incorporation

The area comprising the communities of George's Brook and Milton is incorporated as the Town of George's Brook-Milton.

Town council

The town council of George's Brook-Milton is established to control and manage the town in accordance with the Act.

Boundaries

The boundaries of the Town of George's Brook-Milton are as set out in the Schedule.

This Order comes into force on May 8, 2018.

Schedule

Commencing at a point being the northern limits of Route 231 having coordinates east 233,953.978 metres and north 5,341,358.702 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a westerly direction to a point where the northern limits of Route 231 intersect with the eastern limits of Route 230;

Then heading in a northwesterly direction along the Town of Clarenville municipal boundary to a point having coordinates of east 232,119.883 metres and north 5,342,058.245 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northerly direction following the double pole line to the Bonavista Highway to a point having coordinates east 232,617.397 metres and north 5,348,031.349 metres, more or less;

Then heading in an easterly direction to a point 100 metres to the east of where the Bonavista Highway intersects with Route 230A having coordinates of east 235,301.335 metres and north 5,348,513.950 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 235,477.019 metres and north 5,348,268.416 metres more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 235,991.370 metres and north 5,347,957.266 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southerly direction to a point having coordinates east 235,508.769 metres and north 5,344,509.209 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a westerly direction along the northern side of Route 232 to a point on the eastern side of R.C. Brett Bridge having coordinates of east 235,262.607 metres and north 5,344,804.17 metres, more or less;

Then heading in an irregular southwesterly direction following the high water mark of the coastline back to the point of commencement.

The above described piece or parcel of land containing approximately 1,610 hectares, more or less, as depicted in the Provincial Land Use Atlas.

All bearings and coordinates being referenced to NAD 1983 (CSRS) MTM Zone 1.
