OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism and Culture dated June 3, 2003, and pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1998, the Public Archives Act, is pleased to, effective June 17, 2003: (

a) appoint Judith Fingard of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives to represent the Royal Nova Scotia Historical Society, for a term of three years; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Judith Fingard of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
