An Act to Amend the Elections Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: 1 The Elections Act,

chapter E-3 of the Revised Stat- utes, 1973, is amended by adding after subsection 5(1.3) the following: 5(1.31) The selection committee shall be established not fewer than 90 days before the end of the term of the Chief Electoral Officer. 5(1.32) If the office of Chief Electoral Officer becomes vacant more than one year before the end of the term of the Chief Electoral Officer, the selection committee shall be established within 30 days after the vacancy occurs. chapitre E-3 des Lois révisées de 1973, est modifiée par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après le paragraphe 5(1.3) : 5(1.31) Le comité de sélection est constitué au moins jours avant la fin du mandat du directeur général des élections. 5(1.32) Si le poste de directeur général des élections de- vient vacant plus d’un an avant la fin du mandat du direc- teur général des élections, le comité de sélection est constitué dans les jours suivant la vacance.
