OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal dated July 16, 2008, and pursuant to subsection 175(8) of

Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, is pleased to amend the Seat Belt Regulations, N.S. Reg. 221/2005, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2005-519 dated November 24, 2005, to exempt buses from the use of child restraint systems when there is no equipment available and to define "manufacturer-installed system", in the manner set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after August 27, 2008.
