Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Utility and Review Board Act dated February 16, 2022, and pursuant to Sections 5, 6 and 7 of

Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1992, the Utility and Review Board Act , and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased to:

a) revoke the appointment and designation of Peter Gurnham, Q.C. of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a full-time member and Chair of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board made pursuant to Order in Council 2003-256 dated June 5, 2003, and Order in Council 2004-407 dated October 20, 2004, effective March 1, 2022;

b) designate Stephen McGrath of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford) as Chair of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board effective March 1, 2022; and

c) order that the remuneration for Stephen McGrath as member and Chair be paid in accordance with Order in Council 2007-501 dated September 25, 2007.
