Order in Council 2234/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Education has appointed Dr. Carol Campbell as an Education Advisor, to provide advice to the Minister and the Premier on education policy and strategy, for a term ending no later than August 31, 2018;

And

whereas the remuneration and expenses of Dr. Campbell and the other Education Advisors were determined by Order in Council 1711/2017;

And

whereas the Minister wishes to engage Dr. Campbell to lead a review of provincial assessment and reporting practices in education, and this assignment could not be properly completed within the maximum remuneration so determined;

Therefore, pursuant to

section 10 of the Education Act , and

section 76 of the Legislation Act, 2006 , and despite Order in Council 1711/2017,

Dr. Carol Campbell, in her capacity as an Education Advisor, shall be compensated at the rate of $1000 for every full day worked and $500 for every half day worked, for the period of September 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.

And further , Dr. Carol Campbell in her capacity as an Education Advisor may be compensated to a maximum of $120,000 over the term of her appointment.
