The Libraries Act is hereby amended.

Section 63, subsection (1) is amended by striking out the words "nQit exceed~ng two mills on the dollar". 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill will amend

chapter of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1'970. 2.

Section '6;3 (1) reads: 63.

(1) Any council may, ,in addiUon to all other rates and assessments levied and assessed for munidpal purp'oses, levy and assess from year to year a special annual rate not exceeding two mills on the dollar upon the assessed value of all property liable to taxation for municipal pur poses, which rate shall be called "The Public Library Rate".
