Order in Council 1129/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

WHEREAS the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board was continued as a police service board under the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 on April 1, 2024,

AND

WHEREAS Omar Hayat Khan was appointed as a member of the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Service Board on July 27, 2024 by the Solicitor General pursuant to subsection 31(7) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 to fill the vacancy in provincial appointments on the board,

THEREFORE , pursuant to

section 31 of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 , as amended,

Omar Hayat Khan of Mississauga,

be appointed as a member of the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Service Board to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not to exceed two years, effective from the date this Order in Council is made.
