OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables dated March 7, 2023, and pursuant to clause 7(
a) of
Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act , is pleased to approve the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables: (
a) acquiring land that is approximately 48 hectares (117.9 acres) located at Hectanooga, Digby County, currently identified as PID 30113922 and shown outlined in bold on the map marked as
Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, from Edward Ralph Saulnier, or his executors, heirs, trustees, administrators and approved successors and assigns for a purchase price of $100,470.00 (plus HST, if applicable), subject to the condition that Edward Ralph Saulnier, or his executors, heirs, trustees, administrators and approved successors and assigns, are able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; (
b) acquiring land that is approximately 8 hectares (20 acres) located at Hectanooga, Digby County, currently identified as PID 30108732 and shown outlined in bold on the map marked as
Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, from Edward Ralph Saulnier and Mary Dianne Shirley MacDonald, or their executors, heirs, trustees, administrators and approved successors and assigns for a purchase price of $16,745.00 (plus HST, if applicable), subject to the condition that Edward Ralph Saulnier and Mary Dianne Shirley MacDonald, or their executors, heirs, trustees, administrators and approved successors and assigns, are able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (
c) executing such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
