OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated April 16, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act ,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective April 28, 2014: (

a) revoke the appointment of Frank Dunn as Acting Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development; (

b) revoke the appointment of Frank Dunn as Associate Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development; (

c) revoke the appointment of Sandra McKenzie as Deputy Minister of Labour and Advanced Education; (

d) revoke the appointment of Duff Montgomerie as Deputy Minister of Natural Resources; (

e) appoint Frank Dunn as Deputy Minister of Natural Resources; (

f) appoint Sandra McKenzie as Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development; (

g) appoint Duff Montgomerie as Deputy Minister of Labour and Advanced Education; (

h) designate Frank Dunn, Sandra McKenzie and Duff Montgomerie as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

i) fix and determine the salary of Frank Dunn, Sandra McKenzie and Duff Montgomerie to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; and (

j) direct that Frank Dunn, Sandra McKenzie and Duff Montgomerie shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
