Under the authority of

section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Trinity, Trinity Bay Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING

AREA

Part I

Beginning at a point, that point being on the west side of West Arm in

Trinity

Bay

and having co-ordinates north 5 359 000 and east 323 600;

Then south 75 00' west a distance of 2,900 metres, more or less, to a point on an unnamed river running into the northeast corner of Newcastle Pond;

Then north 27 west a distance of 5,600 metres, more or less, to a point on the intersection of the centre line of the old Trinity access road and the southern right-of-way of Highway 230;

Then in an easterly direction along the right-of-way to a point on a river which runs into Northwest Arm;

Then in a generally southerly direction along the sinuosities of the west side of Northwest Arm passing Cap Cove, Walter Point, Mackerel Point, Hogs Nose and Fisher Cove in the Southwest Arm to the point of beginning in West Arm.

Part II

Beginning at a point at the highwater mark in the southern shoreline of Southwest Arm of Trinity Harbour, known locally as "Otter Point";

Then running easterly and northeasterly along the shoreline to Fort Point;

Then running southerly and westerly along the shoreline to a point known locally as "Coleman's Point";

Then running north 30 00' west 1,830 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as taken from the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, 1972 edition.
