OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated November 4, 2015, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, Health Services and Insurance Act , and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Construction Grant Program, is pleased to amend Order in Council 2014-179 dated May 13, 2014 and approve the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province reallocating the monies previously granted under Order in Council 2014-179, in the total amount not to exceed three million one hundred and seventy thousand dollars ($3,170,000.00) to the Nova Scotia Health Authority, (the successor body to the Capital District Health Authority), in order that the remediation of the Victoria General site and the design of 3 ORs and additional ICU capacity at the Halifax Infirmary site can proceed, and that opportunities be pursued to align Halifax health system infrastructure with provincial health services planning, the cost of which grant is to be paid on the basis of invoiced costs submitted to the Department of Health and Wellness and charged to “Capital Grants, Department of Health and Wellness”.
