LOI SUR L'AMÉNAGEMENT DES TERRES TRADITIONNELLES SITUÉES DU CÔTÉ EST ET LES ZONES PROTÉGÉES SPÉCIALES Moved by the Honourable Mr. Struthers Motion de M. le ministre Struthers THAT the Bill be amended by adding the following after Clause 1: Il est proposé que le projet de loi soit amendé par adjonction, après l'article 1, de ce qui suit : Objectives 1.1 The objectives of this Act include (

a) developing a new government-to-government relationship between the Wabanong Nakaygum Okimawin (East Side) First Nations and the government arising out of the east side planning initiative; and (

b) implementing the goals and objectives of the Wabanong Nakaygum Okimawin Council of Chiefs Accord dated April 3, 2007, in accordance with the principles set out in that accord. Objectifs 1.1 La présente loi a notamment pour objectifs :

a) d'établir entre les Premières nations de Wabanong Nakaygum Okimawin (côté est) et le gouvernement une nouvelle relation d'égal à égal découlant de l'initiative d'aménagement du côté est;

b) de mettre en œuvre les buts visés par le document intitulé Wabanong Nakaygum Okimawin Council of Chiefs Accord et daté du avril 2007, en conformité avec les principes qui y sont énoncés. section of the Constitution Act, 1982. Protection des droits des peuples autochtones 2.1 La présente loi n'a pas pour effet de porter atteinte aux droits ancestraux ou issus de traités des peuples autochtones du Canada qui sont reconnus et confirmés par l'article de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1982 .
