EXPLANATORY

NOTE

The

2026 which requires the Minister of Health to develop a plan respecting

consult with certain persons in developing the plan and to table the plan in

the Legislative Assembly. The Minister is also required to ensure that the plan

is implemented in accordance with any timelines that are set out in the plan.

His

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the

Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Definitions

this Act,

“Minister”

means the Minister of Health or such other member of the Executive Council to

whom the administration of this Act is assigned under the Executive

Council Act ; (“ministre”)

“plan”

(“plan”)

Social

media age restriction plan

(1) The

under the age of 16 that sets out the following information:

Consultation

(2) In

developing the plan, the Minister shall consult with,

(

Tabling

Minister shall table the plan in the Legislative Assembly within one year after

the day this

section comes into force.

Implementation

The

Minister shall ensure that the plan is implemented in accordance with any

timelines set out in the plan.

Commencement

This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
