Reg. 95/2002, deposited May 10, 2002, pursuant to the RAILWAY ACT [section

271]. Minister's Order M169/2002, dated May 2, 2002.

George Abbott, Minister of Community, Aboriginal and Women's Services, by authority

section 271 of the Railway Act , order that

section 24 and

section 26

of B.C. Reg. 95/82, the Location, Construction, Operation and Use of Aerial Tramways

Regulation, are repealed and the following substituted as per the attached schedule.

Schedule

section 24 of B.C. Reg. 95/82, the Location, Construction, Operation and Use of

Aerial Tramways, is repealed and the following substituted:

Approval

of appliances and appurtenances

24 Working

drawings of all mechanical details and appurtenances with respect to the construction,

modification and operation of the aerial tramway shall be submitted in duplicate

to the inspector. The as built drawings and technical specifications must be provided

and accepted for filing by an inspector prior to the inspection or acceptance

test.

section 26 of B.C. Reg. 95/82, the Location, Construction, Operation

and Use of Aerial Tramways Regulation, is repealed and the following substituted:

Standard

code to govern aerial tramways

26 Except as

otherwise provided in this regulation, the standard governing the design, manufacture,

construction, modification, testing, operation, maintenance and inspection of

aerial tramways (also referred to as passenger ropeways) and appurtenances to

them shall be CSA Standard Z98-01. Appendices A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, and K

of the Standard are mandatory.
