OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated March 10, 2005, and pursuant to Sections 6 and 7 of

Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1990, the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint James Gogan of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation, for a term of three years commencing March 1, 2005, and ending February 29, 2008; (

b) appoint Bonita Kirby of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation, for a term of three years commencing March 1, 2005, and ending February 29, 2008; (

c) appoint Bonita Kirby of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation, for a term of three years commencing March 1, 2005, and ending February 29, 2008; (

d) authorize the payment of $100 per day, plus reasonable expenses to the members of the Board for attending board meetings of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation; and (

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointees of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
