OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture, dated June 10, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 36 of
Chapter 21 of the Acts of 2018, the Animal Protection Act is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Brooke Gray of Cherry Hill, Lunenburg County, as a member of the Animal Welfare Appeal Board for a term of three years commencing on July 13, 2021; (
b) appoint Leslie Mayo of Halifax Regional Municipality (Lake Echo) as a member of the Animal Welfare Appeal Board for a term of five years commencing on July 13, 2021; and (
c) order that Leslie Mayo and Brooke Gray both be remunerated for their service in the amount of $150.00 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling their duties as members, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
