OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education, dated October 25, 2017, and pursuant to Sections 3, 5 and 6 of
Chapter 37 of the Acts of 2010, the Labour Board Act , is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Susan Ashley of Wolfville, Kings County, as a vice-chair of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
b) order that the remuneration for Susan Ashley be fixed in the following aggregate amounts, payable for her services as vice-chair of the Labour Board: (

h) appoint Joseph M. MacLellan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Lantz), as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
i) appoint John Wilson of Kemptown, Colchester County, as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
j) reappoint Gary W. Dean of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
k) appoint J. Harris McNamara of Havre Boucher, Antigonish County, as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
l) appoint Kenneth Chisholm of Halifax Regional Municipality (Hammonds Plains) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
m) appoint Clayton Bartlett of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Albert Bridge) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
n) appoint Adrian Morrison of Halifax Regional Municipality (Wellington) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
o) appoint Robert Shepherd of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing November 14, 2017; (
p) fix the remuneration of each of the employee and employer members of the Labour Board in the following aggregate amounts, payable to each for their service as an employer or employee member of the Labour Board: (i) $200.00 per day for each day the member conducts a hearing as a member or participates in necessary training; (ii) $150.00 per day for each day the member necessarily attends to the business of the Labour Board, as a member, except while conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training; (iii) such actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by the member in the discharge of their duties, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; (
q) revoke the appointment of Michael R. Tynes of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as an employee member of the Labour Board, effective November 14, 2017; (
r) revoke the appointment of Phillip Veinott of Mahone Bay, Lunenburg County, as an employer member of the Labour Board, effective November 14, 2017.
