Order in Council 1569/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (Minister) recommends that the Government of Ontario enter into an environmental occurrences notification agreement with the Government of Canda to reduce administrative duplication resulting from comparable legislative and regulatory provisions;

And

whereas paragraph 4(1)(

j) of the Environmental Protection Act (Act) provides that the Minister for the purposes of the administration and enforcement of the Act and the regulations, may, with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, enter into an agreement with any government or person relating to the protection or conservation of the natural environment;

Now therefore

Pursuant to paragraph 4(1)(

j) of the Environmental Protection Act , the execution of the "Canada-Ontario Environmental Occurrences Notification Agreement", attached as

Schedule "A", by the Minister, is hereby approved.
