OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated September 28, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1998, the Public Archives Act, is pleased to, effective November 2, 2010, (

a) revoke the appointment of Roy Scott Taylor of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia Board of Trustees which appointment was made by Order in Council 2008-614 dated November 25, 2008; (

b) appoint Dr. Allan Marble of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives for a term of three years; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Marble of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
