2.1 The amounts specified in the tables in sections 1 and 2 are effective for the 2025-2026 fiscal year and afterwards.

Monthly payments

3 If an honorarium is paid to a mayor or councillor, it must be paid on a monthly basis.

3 Les honoraires versés aux maires et aux conseillers le sont mensuellement.

Per diems and expenses

3.1 In respect of a member attending to community business outside of the community boundary, a council that pays

(

a) a per diem to the member must ensure that the per diem does not exceed $170 per day or $170 pro rated, if the community business requires less than a full work day; and

(

b) the living and travel expenses of the member, must ensure that the maximum rates that may be paid, including allowances based on distance travelled, do not exceed the amounts or rates payable to persons in the service of, or performing services on behalf of, the government.

Indemnités journalières et dépenses

3.1 En ce qui concerne les membres qui participent aux travaux d'une collectivité à l'extérieur des limites de celle-ci, le conseil qui leur verse :

a) une indemnité journalière fait en sorte qu'elle ne dépasse pas 170 $ par jour ou 170 $ au prorata, si les travaux nécessitent moins d'une journée complète de travail;

b) des frais de séjour et de déplacement fait en sorte que les taux maximums qui peuvent être versés, y compris les allocations calculées en fonction de la distance parcourue, ne dépassent pas les montants ou les taux payables aux personnes au service du gouvernement ou qui fournissent des services au nom de celui-ci.

Repeal

4 The Northern Affairs Honorarium Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 69/2002, is repealed.

Abrogation

4 Le Règlement sur les honoraires relatifs aux affaires du Nord , R.M. 69/2002, est abrogé.

Coming into force

5 This regulation comes into force on the same day that The Northern Affairs Act , S.M. 2006, c. 34, comes into force.
