OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated April 10, 2002, pursuant to subsections 16(1), (2), (3) and (4) ,

Section 17 and subsections 94(1) and (2) of

Chapter 475 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Trade Union Act, and clause 18(1)(

c) of

Chapter 235 of the said Revised Statutes, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (

a) amend Order in Council 93-2 dated January 12, 1993, with respect to the appointment of William H.

Kydd, Q.C., by deleting all the words immediately after the words "in the stead of", and substituting "the Vice-Chairman of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) and the Construction Industry Panel with respect to any matter involving Dalhousie University as a party to a proceeding before the Labour Relations Board or the Construction Industry Panel, for a term commencing immediately and ending at such time as either the Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the Board are no longer employees of Dalhousie University, and in addition, to act in the stead of the Vice-Chairman of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) and the Construction Industry Panel with respect to any other matter before the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) or the Construction Industry Panel, for a term commencing immediately and ending on the later of October 1, 2002 or such time as is necessary to complete any matters with which he may be seized as of October 1, 2002."; and (

b) fix the remuneration of William H. Kydd, Q.C., at a rate of $300.00 per day for each day he necessarily attends as acting Vice-Chairman of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) or the Construction Industry Panel, to the business of the Board or the Panel.
