Oil and Gas Conservation Act

OIL AND GAS CONSERVATION AMENDMENT REGULATION

Filed: April 16, 1998

Made by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board pursuant to

section 10 of

the Oil and Gas Conservation Act.

1 The Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations (AR 151/71) are amended by

this Regulation.

Section 6.020(8) is amended by repealing clauses (

a) and (

b) and

substituting the following:

(

a) Category I: Flammable (gas or liquid); Class 3;

(

b) Category II: Poison Gas; Class 2.

Schedule 12 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Alberta Health Care Insurance Act.

1 The Extended Health Services Benefits Regulation (AR 383/94) is amended

by this Regulation.

Section 2 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1)

(

i) by adding "and (b)" after "1(a)";

(ii) by striking out "Dentistry" and substituting

"Dental and Dental Mechanic Extended Health";

(

b) by repealing subsection (2);

(

c) in subsection (3)

(

i) by adding "and (d)" after "1(c)";

(ii) by striking out "Optician" and substituting

"Optical Extended Health";

(

d) by repealing subsection (4).

ORAL AND FACIAL SURGERY BENEFITS AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Minister of Health (M.O. 33/98) pursuant to

section 7 of the

Alberta Health Care Insurance Act.

1 The Oral and Facial Surgery Benefits Regulation (AR 123/95) is amended

by this Regulation.

2 Sections 1, 3 and 4 are amended by striking out "Dentistry" wherever it

occurs and substituting "Oral and Facial Surgery".

Marketing of Agricultural Products Act

EGG PRODUCTION AND MARKETING AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Alberta Egg Producers Board pursuant to

section 27 of the

Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.

1 The Egg Production and Marketing Regulation (AR 293/97) is amended by

this Regulation.

Section 24(1) is amended by striking out "19.5 cents" and substituting

"17.5 cents".

Alberta Regulation 71/98

Provincial Parks Act

GENERAL AMENDMENT REGULATION

Filed: April 28, 1998

Made by the Minister of Environmental Protection (M.O. 09/98) pursuant to

section 11 of the Provincial Parks Act.

1 The General Regulation (AR 102/85) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 30.1 is repealed and the following is substituted:

30.1 The Minister may, in accordance with criteria that the

Minister establishes, designate all or part of a provincial park or

recreation area as

(

a) a campground consisting in whole or in part of

campsites,

(

b) a group area,

(

c) a day use area,

(

d) a back-country campground, or

(

e) any other area for a purpose specified by the

Minister.

Section 32.1 is amended by striking out "specialized group facility,

group camping area, group picnic area" and substituting "a group area".

Section 44(4)(

a) is repealed and the following is substituted:

(

a) an application is made in the form specified by the

Minister and is accompanied by the fee set in accordance with the Fees

Regulation (AR 301/83), and

Provincial Parks Act

FEES AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Minister of Environmental Protection (M.O. 10/98) pursuant to

section 11 of the Provincial Parks Act.

1 The Fees Regulation (AR 301/83) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 1(1) is repealed and the following is substituted:

1(1) In this Regulation,

(a) "Act" means the Provincial Parks Act;

(b) "fee range" means the scale that exists between a

specified minimum amount and a specified maximum amount of a fee that may

be charged;

(c) "mentally disabled group" means people in a camp

program under the leadership of the Canadian Mental Health Association or a

similar association approved by the Minister;

(d) "night" means, with respect to a permit that

authorizes an activity for one or more nights, a period of time expiring at

2:00 p.m. on the expiry date of the permit, unless otherwise specified in

the permit;

(e) "seniors group" means a group in which membership

is restricted to persons who are 65 years of age or older and their

spouses;

(f) "student group" means students from an elementary,

junior high or high school with their teachers and supervisors;

(g) "youth organization" means a group of people who

are

(

i) under the age of 18 years,

(ii) members of a registered non-profit

organization,

(iii) involved in an environmental education

or outdoor recreation activity that is organized by that organization, and

(iv) accompanied on that activity by adult

leaders of that organization.

Part 2 is repealed and the following is substituted:

PART 2

RECREATION SERVICE FEES

12 The Minister may, in a written agreement under

section 9(

c) of the Act

or by means of a written directive, provide for different fees than are

specified in or under this

Part in respect of the subject matter of the

agreement or directive.

13 Any fee or fee range specified in this

Part is

(

a) inclusive of the federal goods and services tax, and

(

b) exclusive of any charge for the provision of firewood.

14 Whether a park or recreation area or facility in a park or recreation

area is wholly or partially operated, maintained or provided by the

Minister or by a person who has entered into an agreement with the Minister

under

section 9(

c) of the Act, the Minister or that person may charge

recreation service fees only within the fee range specified in this Part.

15 The fee range for a permit

(

a) to use a group area for day use is $25 to $65 per day,

(

b) to camp in a group area is $50 to $130 per night for up to and

including 10 camping accommodation units, plus an additional 10% for each

camping accommodation unit over 10,

(

c) to occupy a campsite in a campground other than a back-country

campground is $5 to $17 per night, and

(

d) to occupy a campsite in a back-country campground is $3 per

night for each person who is 16 years of age or older.

16 The fee for the provision at a campsite or group area of

(

a) pressurized water hook-up, electrical hook-up, sewer hook-up or

showers that are not coin operated shall not exceed $3 per night per

camping accommodation unit, and

(

b) the use of horse corrals shall not exceed $3 per night per

animal.

17 The Minister may issue complimentary camping vouchers.

18 The Minister may in writing waive any applicable fee if a person

(

a) is, without receiving remuneration, engaged in an approved

program to enhance public awareness of a social, natural heritage or

environmental issue, or

(

b) is a volunteer performing duties related to the operation or

benefit of a park or recreation area.

19 Mentally disabled groups, seniors groups, student groups and youth

organizations are entitled to a discount of not less than 50% of the

regular fee charged for the use of any group area from Monday to Thursday,

except on a statutory holiday.

20 The Minister may by written directive specify a fee for a permit

authorizing a person to act as a guide or to conduct a course of paid

instruction in an outdoor activity in a park or recreation area.

21 The Minister may establish a reservation system and may permit

non-refundable reservation fees to be charged.

Fisheries (Alberta) Act

GENERAL FISHERIES (ALBERTA) AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (O.C. 166/98) pursuant to

section 43 of the Fisheries (Alberta) Act.

1 The General Fisheries (Alberta) Regulation (AR 203/97) is amended by

this Regulation.

2 Sections 1(

q) and 2(

b) are repealed.

3 The following is added before

section 10:

Sportfishing licence

9.1 A person may obtain a sportfishing licence, other than a

special sportfishing licence if, and only if, that person is the holder of

a valid wildlife identification number card within the meaning of the

Wildlife Regulation (AR 143/97) issued by or on behalf of a person referred

to in

section 3(2) of the Ministerial Regulation.

4 Sections 12, 17 and 18 are repealed.

Section 19(3)(c)(ii) is amended by striking out ", trophy waters

fishing licence".

Schedule 2 is repealed.

Definitions

1 In this Regulation,

(a) "Act" means the Feeder Associations Guarantee Act;

(b) "farmer" means a person

(

i) who is an Alberta resident,

(ii) who is at least 18 years old, and

(iii) who owns or leases a farm;

(c) "feeder" means a farmer who is a feeder association member;

(d) "feeder agreement" means the feeder agreement set out in the

Schedule;

(e) "local supervisor" means a local supervisor appointed under

section 2;

(f) "Provincial Supervisor" means an employee in the Department of

Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, who is designated by the Minister

as the Feeder Associations Supervisor;

(g) "secretary-treasurer" means a secretary-treasurer appointed

under

section 2.

2(1) A feeder association shall appoint a local supervisor and a

secretary-treasurer prior to commencing business and shall ensure at all

times that the association has a local supervisor and a

secretary-treasurer.

(2) The appointments under subsection (1) are subject to the approval of

the Provincial Supervisor.

3(1) A feeder association shall

a) obtain a registered cattle brand incorporating the character
