B.C. Reg. 461/2003, deposited December 12, 2003, pursuant to the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [Section 35] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [Section 26]. Order in Council 1230/2003, approved and ordered December 11, 2003.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective January 1, 2004,

(

a) in

section 1

(

i) in the definition of "Canada child tax benefit" by adding "and includes the child disability benefit" at the end, and

(ii) by adding the following definition:

"child disability benefit" means a supplement to the Canada Child Tax Benefit received by families with a child who meets the criteria for the Disability Tax Credit provided under the

Income Tax Act; , and

(

b) in

section 6 of

Schedule D by adding the following paragraph:

(

x) a child disability benefit.

2 The Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended

(

a) in

section 1

(

i) in the definition of "Canada child tax benefit" by adding "and includes the child disability benefit" at the end, and

(ii) by adding the following definition:

"child disability benefit" means a supplement to the Canada Child Tax Benefit received by families with a child who meets the criteria for the Disability Tax Credit provided under the Income Tax Act ; , and

(

b) in

section 6 of

Schedule D by adding the following paragraph:

(

y) a child disability benefit.
