183 Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 The House met at 1:30 o’clock in the afternoon pursuant to adjournment. The Member for Baie Verte – Springd ale (Mr. Pollard) made a Statement to congratulate Roger Jacobs for his contribution as an outstanding teacher coach. The Member for St. George’s – Stephenv ille East (Mr. Reid) made a Statement to congratulate the MUN Alum ni who took top prize at the G20 Global Business Challenge. The Member for St. John’s Centre (Ms. Rogers) made a Statement to congratulate Jenny Wright and all feminists who work tirelessly to improve society through Status of Women.

The Member for Mount Pearl South (Mr . Lane) made a Statement to congratulate Ed Moyst on his accomplishments as soccer player, coach, offici al and builder and for his contribution to soccer in Mount Pearl. The Member for Humber Valley (Mr. Ba ll) made a Statement to congratulate thirteen students from Elwood Regional High School who attended We Day events in Waterloo, Ontario. The Member for Virginia Waters (Ms. Bennett) made a Statement to congratulate Jack Goldsworthy, one of twenty-two pupils from across Canada selected to attend Canada’s History for Kids, Young Citizen’s Forum in Ottawa.

The Honourable the Minister of Financ e and President of Treasury Board (Mr. Wiseman) made a Statement to advise the Hous e on the progress of this year’s Home Heating Rebate programme. The Honourable the Minister of Envi ronment and Conservation (Mr. Crummell) made a Statement to recognize the th anniversary of Newfoundland and Labrador provincial parks. The Honourable the Minister of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs (Mr.

Russell) made a Statement to congratulate McKenzie Hutchings and all participants in this year’s annual Labrador Creative Arts Festival. The Member for Cartwright – L’Anse au Clair (Ms. Dempster) presented a Petition from certain residents of the Provin ce calling upon the House of Assembly to urge Government to allocate resources to allow for permanent resurfacing of Route from L’Anse au Clair to Red Bay. The Member for The Straits – White Bay North (Mr.

Mitchelmore) presented a Petition from certain residents of the Provin ce calling upon the House of Assembly to urge Government to allocate funds under the provincial roads program to pave a

section of Route 430. The Member for St. John’s Centre (Ms. Rogers) presented a Petition from certain residents of the Province calling upon the H ouse of Assembly to urge Government to reinstate the Family Violence Intervention Court. The Member for St. Barbe (Mr. Benne tt) presented a Petition from certain residents of the Province calling upon the H ouse of Assembly to urge Government in . partnership with the privat e sector to extend cell ph one coverage throughout Gros Morne National Park and the enclave communities within the Park. The Member for St. John’s North (Mr.

Ki rby) presented a Petition from certain residents of the Province calling upon the H ouse of Assembly to urge Government to ensure that a more adequate level of access to specialist primary care based oral surgery and oral surgical procedures is provided in Newfoundland and Labrador and to review the level of financial assistance currently provided through the Medical Transportation Assistance Program to resident s who must leave the province for oral surgery. The Honourable the Government House Leader (Mr. King) moved, pursuant to Standing Order that the Orders of the Day be read.

The Speaker put the question on the motion and declared the motion carried. 185 Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 By leave the Honourable the Govern ment House Leader (Mr. King) moved, seconded by the Honourable the Minister of Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs (Mr. Hutchings) that the Member for Gr and Falls-Windsor – Green Bay South (Mr. Hunter) replace the Member for Lake Melville (Mr. Russell) as a Mem ber of the Public Accounts Committee. The Speaker put the question on the motion and declared the motion carried.

Pursuant to order and on motion the Bill entitled “An Act To Amend The Revenue Administration Act No. 3” (Bill No. 26) was read the third time and passed. On motion it was ordered that the said Bill be printed being entitled as above and that it be submitted to His Honour the Lieutenant Governor for his Assent. Pursuant to order and on motion debat e commenced on Second Reading of a Bill entitled “An Act To Regulate Child Care Services” (Bill No. 30) and on motion debate adjourned for further debate on tomorrow.
