OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Environment and Labour dated September 23, 2004, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, and

Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1994-1995, the Environment Act, and such other authority vested in the Ministers, is pleased to: (

a) approve the Memorandum of Understanding with various federal and provincial regulators and agencies respecting a generic regulatory approval process for large-scale offshore energy projects in the Nova Scotia offshore set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, or one to like effect; and (

b) authorize the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Environment and Labour to execute the Memorandum of Understanding set forth in

Schedule "A", or one to like effect.
