OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated September 11, 2003, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to: (

a) purchase from Daniel and Esther Maxwell and Kirt and Wanda Maxwell, their respective heirs, successors, executors or assigns, a parcel of land containing approximately 17.4 hectares (43 acres) situate at "The Hawk", Cape Sable Island, Shelburne County, for the purchase price of up to $219,000.00, subject to the condition that Daniel and Esther Maxwell, and Kirt and Wanda Maxwell, their respective heirs, successors, executors or assigns be able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice, which land is more fully shown outlined in red on

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and (

b) prepare and have executed such documents as may be required to achieve the purposes of this Order.
