Pursuant to the powers vested in it under Sections 197, 188, 203, 438, & 439 of the CITY OF CORNER BROOK Act, RSNL1990 c.C-15, as amended,

CITY OF CORNER BROOK Marina Redmond, City Clerk Sep 20 URBAN AND RURAL PLANNING ACT NOTICE OF REGISTRATION TOWN OF CARBONEAR MUNICIPAL PLAN AMENDMENT No. 25, AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS A MENDMENT NO. 36, 2019 TAKE NOTICE that the TOWN OF CARBONEAR Municipal Plan Amendment No. 25, 2019 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 36, 2019, adopted on the 14 th day of May, 2019, and approved on the 25 th day of June, 2019, have been registered by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment.

In general terms, the purpose of the amendments is to redesignate land at Civic No. 149 Columbus Drive, from the Commercial to the Residential land use designation, and re-zone the property to the Residential Medium Density land use zone, to accommodate development of a nine-unit apartment building. The CARBONEAR Municipal Plan No. 25, 2019 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 36, 2019, come into effect on the day that this notice is published in The Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette . The principal purpose of the amendments is to allow Council to consider the approval of uses under the ‘solid waste’ use class in the ‘Rural (R)’ designation and ‘Rural (R)’ use zone of the Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, respectively. Uses under the ‘solid waste’ use class were previously confined to the ‘Solid Waste/Scrap Yard (SW/SY)’ designation and use zone. The changes are thus housekeeping text amendments to the Municipal Plan and Development Regulations.
