Glovertown Municipal Planning Area

under the

Urban and Rural Planning Act

(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of

section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Glovertown Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING

AREA

Beginning at a point 400 metres northwestward via the highway from the

centre of the bridge over a stream near the mouth of its tributary from Black Duck Pond;

Then south 61 west 1,100 metres, more or less, to a hill;

Then south 67 west 800 metres, more or less, to a hill;

Then due west 300 metres, more or less;

Then south 7 west 2,750 metres, more or less, to the northern limit of the Trans Canada Highway;

Then running south 1 west 4,240 metres, more or less;

Then south 77 30' west 9,690 metres, more or less, to a power transmission line reservation;

Then following the eastern limit of the transmission line north 42 east 4,080 metres, more or less;

And north 16 30' east 1,220 metres, more or less;

And north 3 30' west 7,100 metres, more or less;

And north 53 west 3,780 metres, more or less, to Northwest Brook;

Then following the sinuosities of Northwest Brook to the western highwater extremity of the Northwest Arm of Alexander Bay;

Then following the Northwest Arm and Middle Arm coastline of Alexander Bay, via Norton Cove, Saunders Cove, Glovertown, Glovertown South, Garden Point, Ragged Head, Clay Cove, to the northernmost point on the headland separating Middle Arm and Northeast Arm;

Then south 20 west 2,250 metres, more or less;

Then south 38 west 1,950 metres, more or less, to the northeastern end of Black Duck Pond;

Then south 39 west 1,065 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian and as with distances given subject to approximation as taken from the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping with reference to the 1:12,500 and 1:2500 Lands and Surveys Mapping.
