B.C. Reg. 134/2016 , deposited June 10, 2016, under the CONTINUING CARE ACT [section 6] and the HOSPITAL INSURANCE ACT [section 29]. Order in Council 394/2016, approved and ordered June 9, 2016.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the Continuing Care Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 330/97, is amended as set out

in the attached

Schedule 1, and

(

b) the Hospital Insurance Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 25/61, are amended as set

out in the attached

Schedule 2.

Schedule 1

Section 2 (1) of the Continuing Care Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 330/97, is amended

by striking out “ the Minister of Health Services ” and substituting “ the minister ”.

Section 5 (2) is repealed and the following substituted:

(2) The maximum charge under subsection (1) is $3 198.50, adjusted every year

on January 1, beginning on January 1, 2017, by the percentage increase, if any, of

the consumer price index for the 12 month period ending on July 31 of the previous

year and rounded down to the nearest $0.10.

Schedule 2

Section 8.4 (2) of the Hospital Insurance Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 25/61, is

repealed and the following substituted:

(2) The maximum charge under subsection (1) is $3 198.50, adjusted every year

on January 1, beginning on January 1, 2017, by the percentage increase, if any, of
