OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Petroleum Directorate dated July 5, 1999, pursuant to
Section 12 of
Chapter 147 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Act,
Section 40 of
Chapter 345 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Pipeline Act, and
Section 20 of
Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1997, the Gas Distribution Act, is pleased to: (
a) delegate all powers, duties or authorities conferred or imposed on the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board by the Pipeline Act and the Gas Distribution Act and regulations made thereto with respect to the construction, operation, maintenance and inspection of pipelines and gas distribution systems to the Utility and Review Board, a board established by
Chapter 11 of the Acts of Nova Scotia, 1992, the Utility and Review Board Act, as amended, effective on and after September 1, 1999; and (
b) transfer the administration of all approvals issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board, namely the Sable Offshore Energy Project Decisions regarding the Natural Gas Liquids Pipeline and the Subsea Transmission Pipeline/Goldboro Gas Processing Plant, to the Utility and Review Board, effective on and after September 1, 1999.
