OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs dated December 13, 2005, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, as amended, the Public Service Act, is pleased to authorize the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs to enter into, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Nova Scotia, the Framework Agreement, in a form substantially to that attached as Appendix A, respecting the establishment of a negotiation process for issues relating to Aboriginal rights, assertions of Aboriginal title, treaty issues and self-government with the Mi'kmaq of Nova Scotia and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada.
