Order in Council 1505/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Safer Roads and Communities Act, 2024

January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Safer Roads and Communities Act, 2024 , c. 21, which amend the Highway Traffic Act , come into force:

s. 5-9, 10 (1), (2), 11-15, 17 (4), (5), 25, 26, 28.

July 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Safer Roads and Communities Act, 2024 , c. 21, which amend the Highway Traffic Act , come into force:

s. 17 (1), (2).
