B.C. Reg. 240/2009 , deposited October 22, 2009, pursuant to the FOREST AND RANGE PRACTICES ACT [Sections 141 (3) (a), 146 and 150 (2)]. Order in Council 549/2009, approved and ordered October 22, 2009.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation, B.C. Reg. 14/2004, is amended

(

a) in

section 1 (1) by repealing the

definitions of "result" and "strategy" ,

(

b) in

section 1 (2) by adding the following

definitions:

"result" means a description of

(

a) measurable or verifiable outcomes in respect of a particular established objective, and

(

b) the situations or circumstances that determine where in a forest development unit the outcomes under paragraph (

a) will be applied;

"strategy" means a description of

(

a) measurable or verifiable steps or practices that will be carried out in respect of a particular established objective, and

(

b) the situations or circumstances that determine where in a forest development unit the steps or practices will be applied; ,

(

c) in

section 8.2 (2 ) (

a) by striking out " water from the waterworks, " and substituting " water to the waterworks, ",

(

d) in

section 12.1 (7) by striking out " the objective for biodiversity " and substituting " the objective for wildlife and biodiversity ", and

(

e) in

section 12.3 by adding the following subsection:

(7.1) A holder of a timber sale licence or road permit to which a proposed forest stewardship plan relates and a timber sales manager are exempt from

section 47 (4) to (6) if the timber sales manager

(

a) prepares and submits to the minister the proposed forest stewardship plan, including an intended result or strategy for the objective for water, fish, wildlife and biodiversity set out in

section 8, in relation to the areas of primary forest activity under the plan, and

(

b) receives the minister's approval to the plan.
