CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards Act (Assented to June 15, 1988) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards Amendment Act, 1988. S.S. 1986, c.E-9.11 The Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act. New

section

Section is repealed and the following substituted:

Interpretation, “convention” “2 In this Act, ‘convention’ means the United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards as set out in the Schedule”. New

section

Section is repealed and the following substituted: Application limited “5 This Act applies only to the recognition and enforcement of awards respecting differences in legal relationships, whether contractual or not, which are considered as commercial under the law of Saskatchewan”.

Section repealed
