Statute: Finance Act Municipal Finance Corporation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance and Treasury Board dated June 19, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 74 of

Chapter 2 the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , and

Section 13 of

Chapter 301 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Municipal Finance Corporation Act , is pleased to: (

a) repeal Order in Council 2006-432 dated October 17, 2006; and (

b) authorize the Minister of Finance and Treasury Board to lend money to the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation from time to time to a maximum of $50,000,000 in Canadian Funds on such terms and conditions as determined by the Minister of Finance and Treasury Board to enable the Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation to make short term loans to municipalities and municipal enterprises.
