Order in Council 1100/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council approved the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2019 by Order in Council 641/2019;

And

whereas the proposal to revoke the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2019 was released on April 6, 2023 for consultation with interested parties, municipalities, and Indigenous communities;

And

whereas the Minister conferred and considered the submissions and recommendations on the proposed revocation, and has complied with all the requirements of the Places to Grow Act, 2005

And

whereas the Minister has decided to proceed by revoking the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2019 as of October 20, 2024;

Now therefore the revocation of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2019 is hereby approved under subsection 7(7) of the Places to Grow Act, 2005 effective October 20, 2024.
