AN ACT TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT (Assented to , 1973) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Municipal Government Act is hereby amended . . 2. The following

section is added after

section 213: 213.1 The council may make by-laws (

a) governing the licensing of billiard rooms; (

b) fixing licence fees for billiard rooms; (

c) regulating the operation and hours of business of billiard rooms; (

d) fixing a minimum age for admittance to or patron izing of billiard rooms. 3. The Billiard Rooms Act is repealed. 4. This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by pro clamwtion. Explanatory Notes I. This BUI will amend

chapter of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1970. 2. This amendment will place the oontrol of billiard rrooms in the municipalities. 3. This Bill will repeal
