OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated July 16, 2004, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act,
Section 2 of
Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and to all other authority in her vested, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Elizabeth Cody as Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance; (
b) appoint Judith F. Ferguson as Assistant Deputy Minister of Community Services; (
c) appoint Margaret F. MacDonald as Assistant Deputy Minister of Treasury and Policy Board; (
d) designate Elizabeth Cody, Judith F. Ferguson and Margaret F. MacDonald as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in the performance of their duties that have been and may be from time to time delegated to them pursuant to
Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (
e) direct that Elizabeth Cody, Judith F. Ferguson and Margaret F. MacDonald shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; (
f) designate Elizabeth Cody, Judith F. Ferguson and Margaret F. MacDonald to be and to have been employees for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; (
g) fix and determine the salary of Elizabeth Cody, Judith F. Ferguson and Margaret F. MacDonald to be at such rate as may be determined from time to time by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the MCP 35 Pay Plan; and (
h) direct that Elizabeth Cody, Judith F. Ferguson and Margaret F. MacDonald are eligible for pay for performance in accordance with the Pay for Performance for Senior Officials policy.
