I, Josie Osborne, Minister of Health, order that
(
a) the Emergency Medical Assistants Regulation, B.C. Reg. 210/2010, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix, and
(
b) B.C. Reg. 194/2022 is repealed.

Appendix
1 The Emergency Medical Assistants Regulation, B.C. Reg. 210/2010, is amended by adding the following section:
Services added by B.C. Reg. 194/2022
8.1
(1) Despite
section 8 (2) (a), an EMA must not provide the services added to
Schedule 1 by B.C. Reg. 194/2022 until both of the following conditions are met:
(
a) the EMA provides evidence, satisfactory to the licensing board, that the EMA has
(
i) passed the examinations approved by the licensing board for the purposes of this subsection,
(ii) successfully completed the training recognized by the licensing board for the purposes of this subsection, or
(iii) met the requirements in both subparagraphs (
i) and (ii),
as determined necessary by the licensing board;
(
b) the licensing board has notified the EMA, under this
section or under B.C. Reg. 194/2022, as it read immediately before its repeal, that it has accepted the evidence referred to in paragraph (a).
(2) It is a condition of every licence that the EMA must provide the evidence referred to in subsection (1) (
a) to the licensing board on or before September 23, 2027.
