On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the Government Body Designation Regulation, B.C. Reg. 298/2005, is repealed, and

(

b) the attached Government Body Designation and Deeming Regulation is made.

GOVERNMENT BODY DESIGNATION AND DEEMING REGULATION

Definition

1 In this regulation, "Act" means the Financial Administration Act .

Public authorities designated as government bodies

2 Each of the following public authorities is designated, under paragraph (

d) of the definition of "government body" in

section 1 of the Act, as a government body for the purposes of the Act:

(

a) the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District;

(

b) the Greater Vancouver Water District;

(

c) an improvement district as defined in the Local Government Act .

Organizations deemed to be government bodies

3 The Providence Health Care Society is an organization deemed, under

section 88 (2) (

b) of the Act, to be a government body for the purposes of Parts 8, 9 and 9.1 of the Act.
