Order in Council 959/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council, the Government of Ontario has established eight positions of Special Advisor, Agent-General;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Jag Badwal

is hereby appointed as Special Advisor, Agent-General, reporting to the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs or such other person as the Minister may specify, to be paid a base remuneration of $164,910 (Canadian) per year, effective June 20, 2019, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years from the effective date of this appointment.
