OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated November 28, 2019, and pursuant to

Section 7, of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes on Nova Scotia 1989, the Civil Service Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased, effective December 3, 2019, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Dr. Thomas Marrie as Acting Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness; (

b) appoint Jeannine Lagassé as Acting Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness; (

c) designate Jeannine Lagassé as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

d) fix and determine the salary of Jeannine Lagassé to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; and (

e) direct that Jeannine Lagassé shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
