OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated February 18, 2000, pursuant to Sections 4 and 7 of

Chapter 13 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1990, the Health Council Act, and Sections 2 and 3 of

Chapter 2 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1998, the Health Council Appointments

(1998) Act, is pleased to: (

a) effective November 1, 1999, accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of Daurene Lewis, as a member of the Provincial Health Council; (

b) effective February 15, 2000, accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of Janet Connors as a member of the Provincial Health Council; (

c) reappoint the following persons as members of the Provincial Health Council each for a further term of office of three years commencing September 30, 1999, and ending September 29, 2002: Vivian Farrell of Pictou, Pictou County; Leona R. Brown of R.R.#5 Yarmouth, Yarmouth County; Tom Bird of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County; and Beverley Ruth Coulson of R.R.#2 Musquodoboit Harbour, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

d) appoint John Hussey of Glace Bay, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Provincial Health Council for a term of office commencing November 2, 1999, and ending September 29, 2001; and (

e) appoint Catherine A. Randall of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Provincial Health Council for a term of office commencing February 16, 2000, and ending September 29, 2000.
